I established VCL Consultants in 1999 to provide professional Civil & Structural Engineering expertise to the Irish Construction Industry drawing on my experience from Railway Engineering in Ireland and Civil & Structural Consultancy across the UK. The expertise and deep engagement provided by VCL ensured not only a high level of repeat clients but also an ever expanding list of new clients as VCL grew.

Our in-depth engagement in the construction industry reinforced our understanding of the strong level of interface between architecture and engineering and the benefits that accrued to a project when these two professions intertwined.

The service provided by VCL Consultants very quickly expanded from Civil & Structural Engineering to full multidisciplinary engagement on most of the projects we were involved in. Even though VCL Consultants are professional architects and engineers our projects are not limited or defined by either profession but develop with continuous and enthusiastic input from both.  

Due to the manor in which VCL has developed we benefit from being a young dynamic company with a mature level of expertise and bring all of these attributes to each and every project.
